The Role Are you passionate about making a positive impact on housing poverty? Do you have a knack for maintenance and repairs? We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Operative to join our Responsive Maintenance team at Community Housing Ltd.
As a Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in supporting our vision of a world without housing poverty by ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of CHL properties in the region by undertaking general maintenance duties including repairs and maintenance, hands-on gardening, and cleaning tasks. Working closely with our maintenance team, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for our clients.
About You If you are a dedicated individual with a passion for contributing to a greater cause and possess the technical skills to excel in property maintenance, we want to hear from you!
Experience and knowledge in the trade industry Experience in residential maintenance, commercial cleaning, grounds maintenance, general handyman duties or similar. Proficient in using various tools and equipment Excellent communication skills and a talent for building relationships and working in partnership with others. Sound knowledge and application of WHS practices. White Card (or ability to obtain). Valid Driver's Licence. Strong commitment to the right of every person to good quality housing. Willingness to work flexibly across a multifaceted team. Please note that satisfactory police check is required for all staff and those with client related responsibilities are required to provide a NDIS and Working with Children Check (WWCC).
