Our flexible fee structure includes bulk billing to ensure life-saving treatments are accessible to everyone, closer to home.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Oncology Pharmacist looking to take the next step in their career. The role will report to the Chief Pharmacist, and working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.What is involved:Clinically review patients and their oncology protocols.Dispense medications.Complete medication reconciliation processes.Actively participate in research and clinical trials.Dispense and check prescriptions in accordance with PBS regulations.Assist with stock/inventory management.Compound aseptic cytotoxic and non-cytotoxic products in a pharmaceutical isolator.Provide education/counselling to patients.Assist in coordinating clinical trials and compassionate access programs.Contribute to the Oncology AMS program.Attend Site Selection Visits (SSVs) and Site Initiation Visits (SIVs).Read, understand, and review clinical trial protocols relating to investigational product (IP) compounding, IP accountability, standard operating procedures, and reporting of the pharmacy’s role in clinical trials.Participate in quality assurance activities.Develop and maintain key relationships with oncologists.What you will bring?You are able to work independently and in a team environment.You have demonstrated experience providing outstanding customer service.You can confidently interact with patients and team members, providing a welcoming and caring environment.You have proven experience working with empathy when liaising with patients.You enjoy working with compassion and adapting to patients’ individual needs.You thrive in a multidisciplinary team of specialist doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel providing cancer services.What we offer:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Opportunity to be part of a growing and cutting-edge cancer care centre.Collaborative and supportive work environment.5 weeks annual leave.Professional development opportunities.What is required:Bachelor of Pharmacy or higher.Current registration as a registered Pharmacist with AHPRA and the Pharmacy Board of Australia.Professional indemnity insurance.Effective interpersonal and communication skills.Oncology/hospital pharmacy experience is desirable.Impeccable time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.Demonstrated ability in complex problem-solving with high attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Strong patient focus, placing the patient at the centre of every decision.Enthusiastic, motivated, and adaptable in a supportive environment.Demonstrable computer skills in a Windows environment, including proficiency in word processing and Excel spreadsheets.Criminal Record Clearance and Proof of Vaccination Record for healthcare workers are required.How to Apply:We are always interested in hearing from suitable candidates and discussing your career objectives.
