About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Sales Executive with a proven track record in selling technology services to sectors such as Defence, Mining, Renewables, and related industries. This role involves both interstate and local travel, with new opportunities to be pursued at trade shows, networking events, and industry associations. Due to long sales cycles, effective use of our CRM system is essential, along with close collaboration with our marketing team. The sales support team will handle the preparation of all technical proposals, which will then be presented by the Sales Executive to prospective clients.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, this hands-on role includes the following responsibilities:
* Work closely with internal teams (Marketing, Estimating, Operations, etc.) to develop a comprehensive understanding of our product.
* Develop new customer relationships in target markets.
* Travel (local and interstate) to meet current and prospective stakeholders, attend trade shows and other events.
* Present our products and services to potential clients and provide accurate quoting.
* Proactively work with our CRM sales tool (Zoho) and the Company’s customer base to establish a common approach to retention and growth.
* Execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
* Monitor current client trends to provide recommendations to Management and Directors.
Your Skills / Education
* Proven track record of success in sales, with 5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Tertiary Education in Sales, Business, or Engineering.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency using Microsoft Office and CRM software (i.e. Zoho).
* Experience in electronics/manufacturing industry will be highly regarded.
