Sous Chef Opportunity at the Coolum Beach Hotel
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team at the Coolum Beach Hotel, located in the heart of Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast.
Key Responsibilities:
* Run the pass during busy service times to ensure timely and accurate preparation of dishes that exceed guest expectations.
* Support the Head Chef with menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
* Create and manage staff rosters.
* Manage food safety and ensure adherence to compliance and safety standards.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment.
* Ability to lead effective teams and build a positive culture.
* Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
* Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets.
* Trade Cooking qualifications.
