You'll handle inquiries from employees, managers, and external parties, process payroll tax, review timesheets, and interpret awards and agreements. Ensuring compliance with regulations is paramount. Utilising KeyPay payroll software, you'll ensure prompt and precise payments while supporting internal stakeholders with payroll-related queries and issues.Respond to inquiries from employees, managers, and external partiesMaintain and update spreadsheets and reportsManage employee registrations and terminations on various websitesUpdate Apprentice earnings across Australian states after each weekly pay run for payroll tax processing at month-endPerform calculations for termination or redundancy payouts for managers and conduct leave audits upon employee requestProcess payroll tax for all states including NZ at month-end, submit online, and generate cheque requisitions for Accounts PayableReview all timesheet entries meticulously on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure accuracy and prevent overpaymentsYour profile and experienceThe ideal Payroll Officer will bring a wealth of experience in using major payroll systems, with specific knowledge of KeyPay software being highly beneficial. Your ability to interpret union and industry awards will be crucial in this role, along with your familiarity with current employment regulations. Your strong time management skills will enable you to work effectively within deadlines, while your high attention to detail will ensure accuracy in all tasks.
