In operation for 30+ years, one of Melbourne's largest commercial window manufacturers located in the Eastern Suburbs, is seeking an experienced HR truck driver to join their team on a casual ongoing basis. Delivering projects in healthcare, education, correctional and institutional facilities, they manage the entire construction process from design, install and maintenance, providing a wide range of bespoke building products and extensive solutions for precision windows, facades, cladding, and steel structures. Priding themselves on their commitment to quality, crafting top-notch aluminium windows that stand the test of time, their façade, window and skylight systems are developed, tested and manufactured in Australia in their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Their dedication to customer satisfaction has earned them a stellar reputation in the industry, and they are on the look-out for a dependable and skilled HR Truck Driver to become a vital part of their growing team.
Your new role
Your primary duties will be the operation of an HR Truck and the transportation of windows, facades, cladding and other building materials to various project sites. You will assist with the loading and unloading of materials, both manually and with a forklift, ensuring they are handled with care to prevent damage. You will plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries, whilst adhering to all traffic laws and regulations and addressing any issues that arise during deliveries in a timely and effective manner. You may also be required to assist with the day-to-day processing of materials on the production floor, drilling holes in sub-sills, guillotine work, and general labouring and maintenance around the factory.
What you'll need to succeed
* Current HR Truck Licence with previous driving experience.
* A strong understanding of road safety regulations.
* A current LF Forklift Licence is highly advantageous.
* Full Australian working rights - for 40 hours per week plus potential overtime.
* Physically fit - capable of manual handling.
* A solid work ethic and positive attitude.
