About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead and oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role is pivotal in coordinating project teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and driving operational efficiencies. The position is 80% office-based and 20% on the road, with occasional travel required.
Key responsibilities include:
* Scoping, planning, and executing projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
* Managing resources, including internal staff and external contractors, to maintain efficiency and project success.
* Developing and maintaining client relationships, responding to queries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Leading and mentoring the operations team, delegating tasks effectively, and contributing to staff development.
* Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, working closely with Safety Representatives and Consultants.
* Overseeing supplier contracts, cost analysis, and purchasing to ensure profitability.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will be an adaptable and results-driven leader with strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for operational efficiency. You thrive in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment and are comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Key skills and experience:
* Diploma of Project Management (essential).
* Licensed Plumber (preferred but not essential).
* Proven experience in project management within the water infrastructure, drainage, or construction industries.
* Strong leadership abilities with experience managing teams and driving performance.
* High-level communication skills, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders, including councils, main roads, and water boards.
* Experience implementing and monitoring safety and quality measures.
* Proficiency in Service Mate or similar project management software.
