Grade 2 Year 2 Registered Nurses Contract: Ongoing, 0.6 – 1.0 EFT by negotiation. January intake 2025 Applications are invited from Registered Nurses who are currently completing a Graduate Nurse Program to participate in the 2025 Transition Nurse Program at BRHS. Our Nurse Transition Program provides a great opportunity to further strengthen your nursing knowledge and practice with support from our experienced Educators and broader BRHS team. The Program: The program itself operates over 12 months and consists of two 6-month rotations within the nursing directorate. A range of nursing areas (including specialist nursing units) are available. These may include Medical and Surgical, Rehabilitation, Paediatrics & Palliative Care, Emergency, Theatre, Aged Care, Oncology, Dialysis and Home-Based Services. Allocations will be confirmed at a later date Once this 12-month program is completed and based on performance, staff will have the opportunity to move into suitable positions within the organisation. Roles will be determined by the nurse's preference and suitability and will be dependent on availability. This will be discussed near the end of the 12-month program. The Role: Transition nurse contracts will consist of a minimum of 0.6 to 1.0 EFT. There will be supported opportunities to further develop skills in a variety of areas such as leadership, communication skills, clinical supervision skills, and quality improvement skills. As a Transition nurse you will consolidate your technical and non-technical nursing skills in a supported environment whilst providing excellence in nursing care.
