Permanent, full-time contract Wesley College is located in South Perth, a short walk away from the beautiful Swan River foreshore. Our campus features a variety of heritage buildings as well as new facilities added throughout the College. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Maintenance to lead our Maintenance Team, overseeing maintenance operations at the College and coordinating maintenance activities in line with College needs. The role is responsible for ensuring all campus facilities are well-maintained, functional, and fully compliant with safety standards. A trade qualification in a relevant field would be highly desirable. Key responsibilities include: Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring high levels of performance and productivity. Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion of tasks in line with College needs. Foster open communication with staff, students, and external contractors regarding maintenance activities and needs. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Manage resources effectively, ensuring cost-efficient maintenance operations. Provide training and support to maintenance staff, promoting skill development and teamwork. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities with minimal disruption to the College community. Engage in hands-on maintenance tasks. Respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance requests. Our ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in maintenance management or a similar role. The ability to manage, lead, and motivate people will be key to this role, as will sound communication and interpersonal skills.
