Carer Services supports carers, the person being supported and care relationships in a client-centred, timely and responsive manner.Carer Services is funded by State and Commonwealth Governments to deliver multiple programs including phone support, in person support services, peer support, information and social activities to carers (including young carers) of people who are aged, living with dementia, have a disability or chronic illness, and/or mental illness.The RoleThe Team Leader is responsible for developing and maintaining high quality services to carers.
This includes leading and developing staff expertise and delivering services to ensure high practice standards, fulfilment of funding targets and obligations, maintaining awareness of sector developments, developing strategic partnerships, and managing service demand.The Carer Assessment and Planning team delivers assessment, planning, monitoring and service linkage for carers of people over 65 years who are frail aged or living with dementia, including those with a recent diagnosis.Qualifications and Experience Required (see position description for all duties and responsibilities)Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Behavioural Science, Social Sciences or WelfareMinimum 3 years' management experience in a community or health settingExperience managing staff, including the ability to advise and support staff in service provision and develop team performanceAbility to maintain a clear focus and positive outlook, and capacity to adapt in a complex and changing work environmentEnergy, enthusiasm and commitment to create and promote high quality support services to clientsExcellent organisational and time management skillsSuccessful applicants must undergo a police check and have a current Working with Children CheckDesirablePost graduate qualificationStaff BenefitsFriendly, supportive team cultureSalary packaging & novated leasing through MaxxiaFlexible health insurance coverage through HCF Health InsuranceOnsite car & bike parking opportunities, deducted pre-tax!
