Apply Now DONT MISS OUT This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a proactive approach to farm management, covering everything from irrigation and pruning to harvest coordination and team supervision. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency, productivity, and quality of orchard production while contributing to continuous improvements in farming practices. Key Responsibilities: Irrigation Management: Oversee and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring water efficiency and tree health. Pruning & Tree Maintenance: Implement and oversee pruning activities to optimise tree growth and fruit production. Pest & Disease Control: Monitor tree health and contribute to integrated pest management (IPM) strategies, including herbicide application. Fertilisation Programs: Assist in developing and executing fertiliser plans to enhance soil and plant health. Harvest Coordination: Plan and manage harvest operations, including organising labour, scheduling, and ensuring efficiency. Machinery Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain farm equipment safely and effectively. Team Leadership: Manage and supervise seasonal and permanent farm staff, ensuring productivity and a positive work environment. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of farm activities, including yields, inputs, and labour usage. Planning & Budgeting: Contribute to the development of annual farm plans and budgets to support long-term operational goals. Health & Safety Compliance: Promote and maintain a safe, compliant, and supportive working environment for all employees and contractors. Collaboration: Work closely with management and industry peers to implement best practices and continuously improve farm operations. About You: Proven experience in farm management, ideally in horticultural farming. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage a team. Hands-on experience with irrigation, pruning, fertilisation, and pest management. Technical proficiency in farm machinery operation and maintenance. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver’s license.
