The Emergency Services Coordinator is accountable for executing emergency preparedness, response, and safety protocols at the Rosebery operation. Their primary focus will be to rigorously implement the Rosebery Emergency Management Plan and associated documents within a 0-12-month timeframe. This role reports to the Manager Safety Training, Heath & Security and is offered on a 5/2:4/3 roster residential to Rosebery or DIDO from within Tasmania. Competencies, qualifications and skills: Demonstrated experience providing on-site emergency response in mining, construction, or industrial settings. Experience delivering emergency response training under a registered training organisation (RTO) agreement. Experience in supervising and mentoring high-performing emergency response teams. A thorough knowledge of safety, health, and emergency response related legislation. Certificate III Mine Rescue (Preference to include UG units). Certificate II Security Operations (Desirable). Certificate IV Health Care (Desirable); Certification IV Workplace Training and Assessment. Drug and alcohol testing qualification (National Certificate to Australian Standards) Key responsibilities will include: Supporting review of site-specific risks to identify relevant material risks and reasonably foreseeable emergency scenarios. Supporting implementation of the Rosebery Emergency Management Plan, Emergency Response, and Emergency Management Procedures. Maintaining emergency equipment condition and operability per OEM specifications. Support the department in delivering training and raising awareness of initial emergency response requirements. Implementing and maintaining fire and evacuation plans and providing training for site personnel. Schedule planned evacuations, ensure execution, debrief, and track actions to completion. Implementing an Annual Emergency Response Team (ERT) Training Schedule, including delivery of regular on-site training to maintain ERT skills and response preparedness. Develop and implement contingency plans for periods when the primary Fire Appliance is offline for servicing and maintenance. Undertake day-to-day maintenance of primary and secondary Fire Appliances and Equipment. Ensure suitably qualified personnel undertake preventative and scheduled maintenance and servicing of firefighting, rescue, and emergency response equipment. Maintain a register of on-shift ERT members and advise the Duty Manager if ERT manning is insufficient to provide the required level of response. Undertake reviews and approve rescue plans for high-risk operational work. Support development, maintenance, and review of duty cards, which clearly define the roles and responsibilities of the site Emergency Management Team. Support implementation of the Rosebery Emergency Management Team (EMT) Annual Exercise Schedule. Support maintenance of EMT skills and response preparedness via delivery of regular on-site EMT training.
