We are seeking two skilled and experienced Safety and Training Coordinators to join our team at Tomingley Gold, in Central West NSW.Reporting to the WHS Superintendent, the Safety and Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day safety and training requirements of the mine and processing facility.The main objectives of the position include: Provide safety support and training to site personnel for all operational aspects related to safety; Develop, update and deliver training packages for all site equipment and activities; Provide support to achieve the TGO Safety & Training goals; Provide support and advice on Safety issues to all site personnel including the WHS Superintendent and Manager; Ensure that Safety is implemented for all activities and that all policies and procedures are being followed, and, where procedures are not in place, a risk assessment is undertaken and controls implemented.Key Responsibilities: Design and develop training packages for all departments' training needs in a timely manner: Deliver site inductions and conduct drug and alcohol testing where required; Assist in incident investigations, and ensure completion of resulting corrective actions, for both internal purposes (to prevent recurrence), and to relevant regulatory authorities when required; Develop training plans for department activities, including strategy, to achieve agreed targets; Assist Managers and Superintendents with implementing all strategies and associated Management Plans ensuring they meet statutory and company requirements; Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements for all project activities; Assist WHS Superintendent and Manager in the communication and consultation processes across site via periodic reporting and presentations e.g.toolbox meetings, daily reports, monthly reports, information sessions, safety meetings; Identify site hazards, and ensure controls are implemented to mitigate to an acceptable level of risk; Facilitate risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks to site in line with established site and regulatory criteria; Work within site safety guidelines using a risk-based approach to work e.g.Job specific RA; JHA; Site Specific Procedures; Permits etc.where appropriate; Contribute to the setup and provide ongoing support of the site Document Management System, ensuring the document control procedure is met; Ensure Safety & Training data (e.g.Training registers, maintenance registers, incident and hazard reporting) is accurate and appropriate; Complete assigned Safety and Training projects according to directions from the WHS Superintendent and Manager; Undertake other responsibilities as required within the company.The successful candidate should possess the following: Minimum 3 years mining or heavy industry experience; Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (TAE 40116 minimum) and Certificate IV in WHS (must hold one and be willing to obtain the other); Ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders including contractors, peer supervisors, services providers and community; Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software; Exposure to safety management software; Occupational First Aid certified or willing to obtain.A very competitive salary package will be offered proportionate to the successful applicant's qualifications, knowledge and experience.Benefits on Offer: 5/2/4/3 (9-hour days) family friendly roster; Very competitive remuneration package; 5 weeks annual leave; Life and TPD insurance; Salary Packaging options available; Relocation assistance available.Initial enquiries and for a copy of the position description please contact HR Manager Belinda Hollingworth at 02 6867 9*** or ****** About Us: Tomingley Gold Mine, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated near the village of Tomingley, 50 km south of Dubbo in Central New South Wales.We have recently celebrated over 10 years of operation.Our current operation runs an underground mine, and a 1.2 Mtpa processing plant that is responsible for producing gold bullion on-site.The mine's workforce consists of over 260 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing and trades.One significant development for the Tomingley Gold Mine is the approval for the expansion of both open-cut and underground mines, 3 km to the south of the existing Tomingley deposits.This development approval and expansion takes the mine life beyond 2031.Tomingley Gold Mine's expansion and the Dubbo region offer a promising environment for those interested in living and working in a dynamic, non-mining regional area.Dubbo has easy access to numerous services & amenities, excellent schooling opportunities, and numerous transportation connections to other major cities.Please note: Tomingley Gold Operations is a residential mine and relocation to the local area is essential for this role.#J-18808-Ljbffr
