experienced Director, Australian Government Relations to develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy.This role is pivotal in elevating awareness and knowledge of Worley as an iconic, trusted, and nationally significant Australian global business.You will be responsible for orchestrating an ongoing program of engagement to enhance our relationships with the government, providing critical support to broader efforts to maintain and enhance Worley's corporate reputation.You will proactively identify, anticipate, monitor, and manage government-related opportunities and risks.What you'll do Position Worley with the Australian government as an important and trusted partner.Advise, support and coordinate senior Worley executives and the Board in government engagement.Develop and maintain a network of senior contacts within Ministerial offices and relevant Departments at both Federal and State levels.Lead government and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that Worley builds the right relationships across all appropriate tiers of government.Direct and contribute to initiatives across Corporate functions and ANZ Operations to elevate Worley's brand and reputation in Australia.Proactively identify, monitor, and manage government-related opportunities and risks.Ensure reputational risk is identified, escalated, and managed in line with Worley's business objectives to build a license to operate.Coordinate government submissions and support funding/grant opportunities as appropriate.Build relationships with government relations teams across key customers in Australia to drive and support shared outcomes.Support issues and crisis management plans, processes, and events.Collaborate closely with the Global Head of Government Relations, based in the UK, to amplify Australian government messaging in other key geographies.Maintain excellent records in accordance with Worley policies and processes.About You You'll have extensive experience in government relations at a senior level having worked in government, public affairs or in a corporate government affairs function.You'll have a strong and demonstrable understanding of government relations work, including personal experience of developing and executing strategies and building advocacy campaigns.Your deep understanding of Australia's political landscape and your strong network of senior contacts across government will be instrumental in enhancing Worley's relationships with key stakeholders.What you'll have Adept at building and maintaining a network of senior contacts within government managing opportunities and risks related to government engagement and collaborating with corporate functions to continue to strengthen Worley's reputation.Eager to engage in a diverse range of activities, from strategic oversight to hands-on tasks.Willingness to tackle both high-level strategy and essential groundwork will be key to driving meaningful outcomes
