Grounded in the 'why,' you help others understand the 'how' in relation to business planning.What you'll get to doThe Manager, Business Planning and Performance Reporting manages all aspects of the end-to-end multi-year business planning cycle for BC Assessment (BCA). This includes aligning the organization's strategic priorities with operational work plans and innovative initiatives, facilitating prioritization of work to meet financial and operational targets, and preparing and providing timely corporate performance reports.Reporting to the Director Planning, Performance and Risk, this role provides leadership, expertise, service excellence and innovation to advance the organization's strategic priorities through the development, administration and control of the organization's business planning, analysis, and performance reporting frameworks. As the Manager, Business Planning and Performance Reporting at BCA, you would also: Manage BCA's multi-year integrated business planning cycle, aligning strategic vision with operational initiatives, including analysis, prioritization, resource allocation, and performance measurement. Develop and document the corporate strategic plan and the corporate business plan, ensuring clear alignment between corporate-level plans and all subsidiary (e.g., divisional, departmental and individual) plans. Support BCA's corporate performance measurement and evaluation system and program, including the development of goals, strategies, measures of success, and targets. Facilitate workshops and meetings with Executive, senior leaders and managers throughout the full development cycle of the strategic agenda and drives progressive and continuous improvement of the planning, monitoring and reporting processes. Provide leadership and expertise for cost benefit analysis, business case development and benefits realization methodologies that allows for effective decision-making, prioritization and evaluation. Manage and utilize business intelligence and workforce analytic tools required for robust analysis and forecasting of resources, effort, and capabilities. Facilitate, coordinate and monitor corporate performance plan targets and goals at all levels, as input into integrated business plans, operational plans, Service Plan, and Annual Service Plan Report. Develop and maintain performance dashboards with intuitive data visualizations to provide actionable insights to leadership. Masters degree in business administration or public administration preferred. Strategic Planning Professional level II certification would be an asset. Public Performance Measurement Certificate would be an asset. Experience Five years of experience in strategic and business planning, business analysis, performance measurement, and reporting. Experience in progressive levels of management and administrative responsibility; Experience in project management methodology, tools and techniques.
