About The RoleOperating within Governance and Public Affairs Centre, the Business Lead is a highly innovative and entrepreneurially oriented position leading the commercialisation strategy and revenue-raising activities supporting the newly established Governance and Public Affairs Centre (GPAC) at ACU. The position will be responsible for developing and leading growth plans across a mix of revenue streams and sources to ensure financial milestones are achieved and ongoing GPAC sustainability is secured and enhanced. The role will maintain and expand extensive strategic networks and relationships to further the reputation and standing of the Centre. The role will work in close collaboration with the Academic Lead, GPAC in identifying, coordinating and project-managing research and industry-related engagement opportunities. It will also work closely with key internal ACU staff from Finance and Human Resources to effectively and efficiently progress and capitalise on ongoing business opportunities. The role reports to the Director, GPAC and will work closely with them to maintain a range of key strategic networks and relationships with both internal (ACU) and external stakeholders and partners, including industry leaders, government agencies, grant-makers and philanthropists. Total remuneration valued to $155,781 - $166,226 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $131,673 - $140,601 (pro rata) pa (HEW 9), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. A 2.8% increase will be effective from the beginning of the last full pay period before 30 June 2025. 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff. Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
