Western Plains is a multi-purpose facility that adapts to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria. It features purpose-built modern amenities including medical wards, a cultural centre and vocational training facilities. It also utilises cutting-edge technology to keep the facility secure, allowing staff to focus on supporting the rehabilitation of people in custody. Western Plains will open mid-2025 and Corrections Victoria are now recruiting key roles to help shape the future operations of the facility. About the role Client Services Support Officers provide service and support to prisoners, visitors, and all staff, with the shared goal of creating a safe and rehabilitative environment and the delivery of a prisoner centric operating model. Team members require a strong focus on customer service, teamwork, integrity, accuracy, compliance and timeliness. This position may require direct prisoner contact, and you may be required to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays and attend to urgent work as required. Appropriate remuneration will be applied for the above in accordance with the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2024. This is a multiskilled role, working as part of a team, where communication and an ability to resolve problems as they present themselves will be critical. Experience in industries such as warehouse/stores, retail or other customer service environments will be an asset.
