Leading a cross-functional team, they will develop and execute a data-driven content strategy, optimising performance and audience acquisition while fostering creativity and collaboration.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team in the Homes & Lifestyle vertical, they will shape the brand's evolution into a content-commerce-focused media business.This is a unique opportunity for a visionary leader to shape the future of an iconic brand while driving innovation and growth in a rapidly evolving media landscape.DutiesDevelop and execute audience-first content strategies, ensuring high editorial quality across print and digital.Secure commercially strong content using SEO, Google Trends, and data insights.
Lead purpose-driven campaigns and collaborate on visuals/shoots.Drive commercial partnerships for House & Garden across all platforms.Troubleshoot stakeholder issues and align content with audience, circulation, and commercial targets.Set team direction, foster engagement, and build a strong talent pipeline.Lead adaptability and transformation while managing performance and innovation.Ensure operational effectiveness through change.Maintain best practice workflows, keep content within budget, and meet deadlines for campaigns and events.Skills and experienceWe're looking for a strong leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a passion for homes and lifestyle content, multi-platform expertise, and a proven track record in audience growth and commercial partnerships.10 + years relevant experience in magazines/digital media in AustraliaStrong leadership abilities and experience managing a teamA history in creating, editing or commissioning quality omnichannel journalismStrong contact list that spans across talent, PRs and mediaA commercial mindset and ability to ideate on-brand client solutionsHigh attention to detail and time management skillsAbility to work positively with a wide variety of stakeholders and be efficient in managing up as well as downExperience in/understanding of working across multiple platformsAre Media is committed to a diverse, respectful, collaborative & inclusive workplace.
