The role will require flexible working hours, to ensure maximum availability and utilisation of the manufacturing equipment. Role Responsibilities:Plan, manage, monitor and maintain all Control System hardware, software and devices across Brownes sites. Ensure that all stakeholders voices are incorporated into planning.Work with a team of automation engineers to translate business processes into actionable automation controls, and ensure that the systems are maintained appropriately and processes sustainableCommunicate with Senior Managers and Executives about the status and progress of work packages, escalate critical issues effectively and rapidlyDevelop and maintain a collection of policies, procedures, and design patterns to drive standardisation of automation across Brownes manufacturing equipmentProvide technical guidance and support to Brownes OperationsEngage in configuration, development and monitoring of automation solutions as required.Work with Operations to develop a Business Continuity Process should automation become unavailable or equipment malfunctionWork closely with Engineering to assess the suitability of new equipment and contribute to the selection andProvide Electrical, Mechanical and Automation support to Brownes Operations assisting with breakdownsProvide technical support to process control in the creation of Brownes productsDevelop continual improvement processes to reduce downtimeCoordinate with manufacturing and maintenance planned downtime to correctly service equipmentAssist with developing the optimum spares levels across sitesIdentify and select Control System infrastructure and software that needs to be replaced or refreshed, and build a business case as requiredEnsure that all equipment has sufficient spares and that spares are of required qualityBuild and maintain relationships with the equipment suppliersRequirements: You must have full working rights in AustraliaEssential is an Electrical trade qualified with current unrestricted electrical licenceAssociate Diploma or degree in Electronic Engineering or Process Control Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experienceProficient in a variety of PLC, SCADA, Servo Drives, Communication systems, InstrumentationPreferred experience with Citect SCADA.
