About the role
As the Software Licensing Lead, you will have a hands-on role where you will work closely with the Software License Manager and key stakeholders to assist with software license acquisition, management, compliance and other specialist commercial software licensing related activities across Bunnings.
What's involved:
Assist with the acquisition, compliance, and financial oversight of software licenses across Bunnings.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and end-users to meet software needs and ensure license compliance.
Monitor software license usage and expiration, maintaining accurate records for compliance, risk, and financial purposes.
Manage budgets and reconciliation for specific software portfolios.
Provide governance oversight for the acquisition and management of software contracts.
Support procurement-related activities such as sourcing and option modelling.
Who we're looking for
As a specialist in software licensing, you'll have solid knowledge of various licensing models and best practices.
You'll use your strong communication skills to build positive relationships with key stakeholders and enjoy hands-on work, completing the entire software licensing process.
You are solutions-focused, proactive, and work well with both internal and external stakeholders for beneficial outcomes.
Additionally, you're curious, seek information proactively, provide support on short notice, and manage yourself effectively within a team.
You'll need:
Previous experience in a similar technology role, such as an IT Category Specialist or IT Procurement Specialist, dealing with a large array of software vendors and a good knowledge around different licensing models.
Strong vendor relationships within the Technology Industry.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to review and assess commercial terms for technology agreements.
Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with a focus on accurate document and record keeping.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs.
Vendor negotiation experience is highly desirable.
