Worldly Migration Ross Llewellyn Motors Pty Ltd in Booval, Queensland, is seeking multiple full-time Motor Mechanics. We are a sizeable business of 200 staff and are a proud family business, operating in the Ipswich and surrounding communities for 30 years. Llewellyn Motors is an award winning one-stop-shop for New & Used Cars, Finance & Insurance, Accessories, Aftermarket Accessories, Servicing, Parts and Tyres Successful candidates will need to have a hard working attitude and great skills with at least 2 years of relevant experience and a minimum of a Cert IV qualification or equivalent in substantial experience. Salary of $70,000 - $75,000 super for these full-time positions. Reporting directly to the Workshop Controller, you will undergo the following responsibilities and tasks. Tasks and Responsibilities: Diagnosing Mechanical Issues: Use diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues with motor vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, suspension, and braking systems. Performing Repairs: Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty parts and systems, ensuring all work meets the manufacturer’s specifications and safety standards. Routine Maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections to keep vehicles in top condition. Testing and Adjustments: Test vehicle systems and components to ensure proper operation, making necessary adjustments to enhance performance. Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair and maintenance needs, providing estimates and obtaining approval for work to be performed. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed, including parts used and time taken, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Workplace Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others in the workshop. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Keep tools and equipment in good working order, performing regular checks and maintenance as needed. Other ad hoc duties and accountability. Qualifications: Minimum of a relevant Certificate IV or equivalent in substantial experience (a Cert III and 2 years of experience will suffice, or 3 years of experience for those without a qualification). Experience Requirement: At least 2 years of experience as a motor mechanic. Essential Skills and Requirements: Demonstrated light vehicle repair, service and maintenance skills including a solid understanding of petrol, engines, suspension, transmission, steering and braking systems Ability to read and interpret a broad range of vehicles service manuals Ability to use computers for the purpose of diagnosing faults and testing vehicle parts Ability to work effectively under pressure Ability to prioritise workload to ensure customer and management deadlines are met Excellent customer service skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical mechanical issues to a broad audience.
