About the Role
The Category Manager – WC Services, Products & ICT is responsible for the management of whole of Workers Compensation non-claims related services, products, and ICT portfolios/categories and associated contracts.
Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Category Manager – Services, Products & ICT you will:
* Maintain a constant emphasis on the core vision of icare, that is make the complex simple so our schemes deliver better outcomes for those we serve.
* Take ownership of the development and execution of strategic commercial portfolio/category plans within the remit to optimise value for money outcomes and meet icare’s objectives and expectations.
* Own the performance of the assigned portfolios/categories by defining the portfolios’/categories’ role within icare, developing value propositions and providing trusted, expert advice through gathering and analysing data, attending industry forums and understanding supplier capabilities.
* Be responsible and accountable for the accurate and timely resolution of complex, sensitive issues.
* Deliver appropriate, timely reporting through analysing data from multiple sources and creating storyboard narratives, advising robust recommendations, identifying risks and managing supplier performance.
* Model the behavioural expectations of the team through exhibiting collaborative, respectful and ethical interactions with suppliers and key business stakeholders.
* Provide support and expert advice on the resolution of challenging issues through strategic and fresh thinking.
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in people leadership within a large, complex organisation.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a people leadership position.
* Corporate mindedness and ability to navigate sensitive issues in a calm, thoughtful manner.
* Strong ethical focus and capability to maintain discretion with confidential information.
