About the role
This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference within the largest sector in the Southern hemisphere, you will be working on large scale projects offering innovative solutions. As a Business Analyst you will work across a variety of projects within a program of work focused on supporting schools in operational improvements. The role will identify, analyse and facilitate the design and implementation of improvements to business systems and processes to achieve the overall program outcomes working closely with department staff in corporate teams and within NSW schools.
You will;
1. Work closely with diverse stakeholders including project teams, service providers, SMEs, and school staff to analyse and consolidate information to assist with the development of business cases, briefs, project plans and reports to support the delivery of business focused solutions.
2. Design tools and implement processes to identify, analyse and facilitate improvements to business systems, processes and workflows
3. Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation and issues management to engage with internal business groups and other divisions of the Department to ensure project deliverables are met
4. Develop and use information and collateral such as process maps, checklists, templates, and guides to assist with training and implementing defined processes. Execute User Acceptance testing, plans and coordination to test the solution and processes meet user need.
5. Facilitate product show cases, demonstrating to stakeholders how their requirements and processes are supported by system changes. Conduct workshops and requirements gathering collaboration via online tools, workshops and clear, effective communications.
6. Identify business challenges/gaps and initiate process improvement projects with recommendations

Skills and Experience
7. Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, data analysis including experience using business intelligence
8. Self-motivated, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively explaining technical concepts and creating solutions that support business requirements
9. Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s and upholding the and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
