About the opportunity: An exciting opportunity has become available for a Publications Analyst - GIS. The incumbent is responsible for providing Geographic Information System (GIS) graphics and datasets, illustrations, publishing and website outputs as required by GSSA clients. The role requires innovation and creativity to prepare the more complex GIS outputs, web content and material for promotional displays. The incumbent will also be required to provide publishing solutions and expert advice to GSSA staff. A strong customer focus and the ability to work within tight timeframes to deliver outputs are essential. Key Selection Criteria: Please only address the dot points listed below in your application Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of Geographic Information Systems, digital published products, and provision of online products. Proven ability to deliver spatial products and services in a timely manner under minimal supervision. Ability to engage and work collaboratively across all programme areas. Demonstrated capability to distil complex ideas for a wide range of audiences into publication quality cartographic outputs. Excellent understanding and working knowledge of the ESRI suite of core products, particularly ArcGIS Pro. Desirable Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
