Within the People and Culture division we have a newly created Payroll Governance team whose function is to proactively ensure that our employees are being paid correctly across all industrial agreements and awards.
Within this new team we have a 12-month fixed term contract opportunity for a Payroll Analytics Specialist. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Payroll Governance, you’ll contribute to the Bank’s strategic objective to demonstrate compliance in its pay-related systems and processes with Commonwealth, State and Territory workplace laws, including legislation and industrial instruments.
In this governance role you’ll get to:
1. Analyse payroll data (quantitative and qualitative) to determine and validate remediation payments by reference to initial external data analytics results, in context of regulatory framework and payroll governance assurance activities
2. Assist with the development and implementation of analysis approach, including in connection with risk reporting, quality assurance
3. Contribute to development and enhancement of payroll governance in alignment with HRIS implementation activities, and interim compliance opportunities and requirements, to ensure our people are paid correctly

What you’ll bring to the role
4. Demonstrated technical expertise in Payroll data analytics from medium-large complex organisations
5. Deep knowledge and understanding of Employment and Industrial relations law and its interpretation
6. Demonstrated understanding of and experience in developing and implementing payroll governance, frameworks and processes to support and enable compliance in pay-related systems and processes
7. Advanced verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated capabilities to analyse and interpret information and data, prepare content, and deliver briefings
8. Strong collaborative relationship building and influencing skills
