To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Engineering Officer who is ready to join a diverse, talented, and enthusiastic team of technical professionals supporting the Combat System for the Collins Class Submarine Fleet. Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Engineering Officer will be responsible to ensure that the various components installed, as part of the Combat System, are sustained and maintained in accordance with best practices. This will include working with both internal and external customers to ensure the best outcome is consistently achieved. Key Responsibilities Provision of technical advice for Combat System component queries. Provide obsolescence triage support including Technical and Alternative Part Investigations / Recommendations Raising Defective Material Design Reports (DMDR) for components requiring engineering changes or issues affecting component sustainment Co-ordination of Life of Type Buy Analysis / Recommendations Provision of support to the Subsystem Working Groups Conduct of Root Cause Analysis’s as required. Review of FRACAs data. Conduct of Maintenance / Repair Planning and Recommendations for preventative maintenance activities. Support for No Fault Found (NFF) activities where required. Provision of preventative maintenance support for Combat Systems currently in service. Skills, Experience and Qualifications: Diploma in Engineering or Certificate III, in a relevant discipline. Minimum of 4 years relevant post-qualification experience required. Experience within an engineering environment is desirable. Introductory knowledge of Systems Engineering. Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects. Demonstrated experience within a Defence environment is desirable.
