Woods & Co Recruitment has partnered with a premium hospitality group to find a composed and collaborative Sous Chef with strong leadership qualities to join the team at one of their most popular summer venues on the Mornington Peninsula.

As Sous Chef, you will have the opportunity to make an impact beyond the plate. You will play a critical role in mentoring and developing team members, fostering a positive and engaged work environment that supports long-term retention.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering simple, high-quality dishes that align with the venue's offering
* Taking ownership of food cost management, stock control, and operational efficiency
* Mentoring and training team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations
About You
We are looking for a natural leader with a passion for teamwork and delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP ready to step up
* Exceptional leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and developing a team
* A calm, level-headed approach
* Experience in managing food costs and understanding the numbers behind the operations
* Reliability and commitment to being part of a positive, supportive kitchen culture
What We Offer
The successful candidate can expect:
* $80,000 - $85,000 + Super
* 38 contracted hours with no more than 43 hours per week
* A 7–8 person kitchen roster with a focus on teamwork and support
* Strong leadership support from a head chef with extensive experience
