The Warrnambool Bowls Club offers members, guests, and visitors a vast array of entertainment options incorporating lawn bowling and a range of internal club activities. The Club includes a Member's Bar, a Bistro, and gaming operations with 40 EGM's, in addition to our function facilities. The Club is looking to appoint a hands-on Assistant Manager who has excellent communication and 'people skills, with a background in the Hospitality industry. This role offers an attractive remuneration package, including 5 weeks of annual leave per year. The Assistant Manager's responsibilities will include: - Work with the General Manager to assist with overseeing the Club employees and overseeing the day-to-day operations of all areas of the Club. - Maintaining high standards of staff performance, particularly in the areas of customer service, RSA and RSG training. - Assist with marketing and promotion of the Club and activities. - Assist with conducting stocktakes and data entry. - Managing liquor licensing, gaming, and wagering activities. - The role also involves coordinating functions to ensure seamless client interactions and satisfaction and managing booking enquiries. - Be able to step in to fill gaps in rostering where required To be successful you will need to possess the following mandatory attributes and accreditation's: - Experience in management within a hospitality environment. - Sound knowledge and experience in gaming operations, Keno, TAB catering, bar, and Club related promotions. - Assist to build, lead and motivate effective teams to deliver successful outcomes and a customer service experience that exceeds expectations and sets new standards. - Be able to plan rosters to a budget - Have an understanding and good working knowledge of legislation relevant to the Club's operations including workplace relations, Liquor & Gaming, AML/CTF programs, and staff training. - Have an understanding of cellar room operations. - Have a sound understanding of Gaming machine operations and the System One software package - Past experience with function bookings and operations - Have excellent IT skills and an understanding of web-based and social platforms for marketing purposes. - Experience with the front end and back end of Bepoz POS systems would be beneficial but not essential. - Hold current RSA & RSG certificates, Gaming Industry Employee, TAB Operators Certificate, and experience managing AML/CTF programs. - The ability to work collaboratively between departments and assist the General Manager Would like to know more please contact Warrnambool Bowls Club on (03)5561 4586
