About the Role We are seeking multiple Trades Assistants to support the safe execution of project works across the Pilbara region of WA.
As a member of our site crew, you will assist tradespersons by performing manual labour tasks and providing hands-on support.
This position is offered on an 8/6 roster schedule.
Key Responsibilities Undertake manual labour tasks and support tradespersons within the assigned section.Liaise with clients and interact with other trades, contractors and client personnel.Operate plant and machinery for which you are licensed to operate, as required.Ensure workshops, sites and yard are kept in a safe and tidy condition.Complete basic risk assessments both individually and in group activities.Use various hand power tools, as required.
Skills and Experience Good mechanical aptitudePrevious experience in a similar roleCurrent white card for work within the construction industrySound understanding of the general building and/or landscaping industryCurrent WA drivers licencePrevious experience working in remote mining operations (desirable)Minimum 2 years' experience in mining industry environment (desirable) About the Company Ahrens is a fifth-generation, Australian family-owned company, with over 120 years' experience in delivering a wide range of high-quality and cost-effective products and projects across Australia, with footprints overseas.
