Our client seeks an experienced Accounts Payable/Receivable Officer to join their team based in Mitchell.
* This is a contract role for 3 - 6 months with opportunity for permanency.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage daily accounting tasks, including receivables, payables, reconciliations, and data entry.
* Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with journal entries.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.
* Assist with ensuring compliance with BAS, GST, and FBT reporting obligations.
* Support system enhancements and process improvements.
* Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
What We're Looking For:
* Proven experience in accounts payable/ receivable, bookkeeping, or a similar financial role.
* Qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field would be a bonus.
* Experience with invoicing, BAS, profit and loss statements, and month-end reporting.
* Good Excel skills and solid IT literacy.
* Familiarity with QuickBooks preferred
* A high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Experience in a project or contract-based environment (desirable).
