About the Role: The Logistics Manager oversees the supply chain with 3 direct reports, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation, storage, and distribution of goods. They manage inventory, coordinate shipments, streamline operations, and implement logistics strategies to meet organisational goals. Their purpose is to ensure timely delivery, reduce costs, and maintain high customer satisfaction through effective logistics planning and execution. Ongoing performance and continuous improvement of their inhouse and third-party logistics (3PL) services. The role has three reports – Demand Manager, Vendor Performance Lead and Warehouse Manager. Responsible for ensuring all financial and non-financial service levels, regulatory compliance and safety standards are delivered to meet their strategy, priorities, performance expectations, governance and regulatory requirements. Leading cross functional, internal and external partnerships to identify and drive optimisation, innovation and improvement initiatives across Logistics services to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve safety and optimise service levels.About You: Degree level qualification in relevant discipline or significant relevant work experience10+ years' working experience across Supply Chain, leading the delivery of both inhouse and third-party Logistics services to meet and exceed performance levels whilst maintaining robust critical controls and meeting compliance requirements and regulatory obligations Experience to management of critical spares and components supply lifecycle, including vendor performance management, planning, inventory management, warehousing and distribution. 5+ years planning, organising, leading and day to day management of a professional, high performing Logistics team. Leading teams through transformation to deliver functional strategy and business outcomes. Development and mentoring of Procurement & Supply team members to uplift and enhance capability and ensure ongoing relevance and credibility of technical credentials.Experience working within a customer facing operational environment, preferably within critical asset management and service delivery; managing ongoing delivery and review of customer logistics service levels and performance metrics Development, delivery and maintenance of Logistics Services Strategy and outcomes Development, delivery and maintenance of strong Supply Chain frameworks and systems Deep understanding of regulatory requirements including Chain of Responsibility, HSE, Security of Critical Assets (SOCI) and demonstrative experience of embedding best practice principles to manage and monitor adherence to these. Design, implementation and management of strong and effective demand planning techniques and principles (S&OP) Design, implementation and ongoing management of robust inventory management strategy, principles, techniques and critical controlsManagement Experience 5+ years planning, organising, leading and day to day management of a professional, high performing Logistics team.
