A Records Unit Leader opportunity has become available to support organisation in its management and accessibility of records and information in line with contemporary record keeping practices. This role may be suited to an experienced Records Officer looking to take the step into a more senior role.
To be successful in this role, you will possess strong experience in the field of records management and have a sound working knowledge of the Right to Information Act. An understanding of legislation related to the management of local government records would be considered highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Administrator of the Electronic Document Record Management System
Undertake the migration of historical information
Develop and maintain currency of the Recordkeeping Plan, Retention and Disposal Schedule, and Records Management Procedures
Undertake the appraisal of existing records against the organisation's retention and disposal schedule and coordinate the destruction or offsite storage, of physical and electronic records in accordance with the schedule.
Coordination of Right to Information requests
Plan, implement and evaluate record management projects, programs, training events and initiatives that will enhance the records management capabilities of business units/ individuals within the organisation
