The Role: Electrical Engineering Manager
As an Electrical Engineering Manager working with Above Water Systems, you'll lead a dynamic team of Electrical Engineers and Technicians/Draftspersons, providing resource and technical leadership for Electrical Engineering projects and AWS programs. Collaborating closely with the Head of Discipline - Electrical Engineering, your role is pivotal in ensuring excellence in engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
10. Lead, mentor, and develop engineering staff, ensuring work aligns with business priorities and professional development pathways.
11. Provide discipline leadership within AWS, offering leadership and guidance to bids, projects, in-service capabilities and engineering plans.
12. Hold Level 2 Engineering Authority in the field of Electrical Engineering, undertake engineering reviews and approvals.
13. Coordinate the many requirements on time across a number of concurrent ongoing projects and bid work.
14. Engage with various internal and external stakeholders and estimate project costs, schedules, and resources during competitive Tender/Bid.
Your Skills:
15. Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering &/or Masters qualification. Chartered Professional Engineer (EA) preferred.
16. A wealth of experience in Electrical Engineering with expertise in Naval or Maritime Platforms.
17. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with stakeholder management experience.
18. Demonstrated capacity for continuous improvement and strategic vision.
19. Ability to empower and unite teams around clear objectives, acting as a coach and servant leader.
