Why The Role Matters:
The is excited to invite applications for a Lecturer (Level B-C) in Screen Production. We are looking for a dynamic and innovative individual to join our academic team and contribute to the ever-evolving field of Screen Production. The successful candidate will develop and deliver practice-oriented courses for the Screen Production specialisation within our Bachelor of Media program with scope to develop new courses that complement and enhance our existing suite of courses. Applicants with experience working in, researching, or teaching in one or more of the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply: Australian film, television, or digital content production; media funding organisations; screen media policy; digital streaming. Complementing their practice-oriented expertise, successful applicants will have a strong critical, conceptual, and scholarly dimension to their research and teaching. The successful candidate will also contribute to the School’s vibrant research culture in areas such as Screen Production, Media and Film Studies.

Level B -
5. Apply a well-defined teaching philosophy and a critically reflective teaching practice that inspires student learning.
6. Coordinate and teach courses within the School.
7. Design and develop learning activities and resources and provide assessment and feedback at both course and program levels using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments.
8. Manage course administration, including academic quality assurance.
9. Establish and maintain strong links with the screen production industry, including film, television, and digital media sectors.
10. Foster partnerships and collaborative projects with industry stakeholders.
Level C (in addition to those above) -
11. Lead the design/development of innovative approaches to teaching and learning and participate in the exchange of these approaches with colleagues.
12. Maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and professional accreditation requirements (where relevant).
13. Work collaboratively with peers across UNSW in all aspects of academic endeavour, develop learning and teaching strategies and resources, contribute to an exchange of teaching ideas, and mentor staff.
