Job Description
The role
The People and Culture Advisor will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining a positive and inclusive work culture at Maxima, while supporting HR processes and ensuring HR policies align with Maxima's goals and strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for providing generalist, customer-focused, practical and timely advice across Maxima, while supporting all aspects of Maxima's human resources needs, ensuring all employees are supported, motivated, and engaged.
You will
* Support and collaborate with Managers and Leaders through performance processes, providing appropriate guidance and escalating as required to the Human Resources Manager
* Provide initial support and advice to employees, assisting with workplace queries, feedback or grievances
* Assist leaders to establish performance objectives for their team members, ensuring goals align with organisational strategic objectives
* Assist leaders with the performance review process, providing feedback and coaching to leaders and employees
* Ensure HR practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including updating and maintaining HR policies and procedures based on relevant legislation, organisational needs and best practice HR principles
* Maintain compliance across systems and databases ensuring accuracy of record keeping
* Provide administrative support for various tasks relating to employee lifecycle, contracts, employment letters, position descriptions and other tasks as required
* Manage the onboarding process for new hires and exit interviews for departing staff
* Ensure effective communication with all employees to maintain ethical and transparent working relationships
* Work closely with the Human Resources Manager on various initiatives and strategies across the business, focusing on wellbeing, performance and support
* Provide recommendations and develop strategies to identify and improve HR processes, employee satisfaction and overall organisational effectiveness
This is a Permanent role with Flexible and Hybrid work options available .
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline (desirable)
* Minimum of 3-5 years in a Human Resources Generalist role or similar, demonstrating an understanding of HR functions and best practice
* Strong knowledge of HR practices and regulations
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organisation
* Experience in maintaining a consistently high standard of customer service
* A current National Criminal History Record Check (Police Clearance) or willing to obtain
* A current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
