About the Role
The full-time Assistant Site Manager will manage our farms within Victoria. We are looking for an individual who is able to work from locations within the region, with flexibility to travel and/or relocate being a distinct advantage. You will be responsible for managing a small team to meet key deadlines and work closely with staff to manage the farm in day-to-day operations.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, the responsibilities of the role include:
1. Maintaining a high-quality environment for the welfare and well-being of our animals;
2. Meet and maintain production targets;
3. Move, draft and weigh stock;
4. Care for sick and/or injured animals;
5. Administer medications as required.
About You
SunPork Farms has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team that is dedicated to producing high quality, sustainable welfare-optimal products. As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must:
1. Management/leadership experience (desirable);
2. Driver's licence (essential);
3. Forklift and tractor licence would be an advantage;
4. A minimum of 2+ years experience working on a farm (essential);
5. Be committed to upholding the highest levels of animal welfare and bio-security;
6. Certificate III in Pig Production or above or currently studying towards (essential);
7. Be committed to training and professional development;
8. Have a positive attitude towards the intrinsic values of trust, integrity, quality, efficiency and innovation;
9. Availability to work rostered weekends and public holidays;
10. Be physically fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the role.
