Our client Colac Otway Shire Council is looking for a Project Management Coordinator to join their organisation.

The role is based in Colac with a population forecast to reach, by 0, and Colac Otway Shire has a strategic plan to guide sustainable residential growth and infrastructure development.
This position has a critical role in both the organisation and the wider community and provides an excellent opportunity to work with a high performing Executive Leadership Team.
As the Project Management Coordinator;
Key Responsibilities for this role include:
Coordinate and manage the delivery of Council’s capital works program and nominated operational projects
Ensure project delivery meets budget, governance and compliance requirements
Provide advice and support to all stakeholders in the project delivery process
Effective contract management associated with the delivery of projects
Review project delivery frameworks and management standards
Implement effective strategies and risk mitigation to effectively deliver projects
Experience and skills required include:
Significant experience in project management of small to large scale projects in varying business environments.
Detailed knowledge of the project management cycle, including construction and contract management.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and detailed design drawings and communicate these effectively.
Knowledge and experience in the application of Standards, Codes and Regulations applicable to the delivery of civil and building projects.
Experience in the management of diverse project teams.
Experience in contract administration and supervision.
Strong financial literacy - planning and management of budgets and expenditure.
Tertiary qualifications in project management, construction management, civil engineering or equivalent. Relevant experience in the end-to-end delivery of projects in the built environment is necessary for this role.
