Scolmore have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Generalist to join our HR team. You will play a critical role in supporting the HR function across the Scolmore Group. Working closely with the HR Manager to drive the HR Strategy and develop HR documentation and policies. The role will liaise with both managers and employees on all ER-related matters ensuring advice is given consistently and in line with Company policies and procedures.Main DutiesHR Processes, Policies, and AdministrationWork with the HR Manager to monitor and review all HR policies and procedures.Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives.Document and develop process flows to support the HR Policies.Respond to general queries from managers and employees, signposting them to the appropriate policy and procedure.Providing advice and guidance on employee relations issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, sickness absence management including OHA referrals, investigation meetings, etc.Participate in performance management processes, including appraisals.Work with the HR team to ensure that all personnel information and HR Systems are maintained and kept up to date.Support the HR Assistant to manage family-friendly queries and cases.Assist the HR & Payroll Administrator by maintaining the accuracy of payroll data and related records e.g., absences, bonuses, leave, etc.Ensure the casework trackers are kept up to date to maintain accurate reporting to the Board of Directors.Develop the warehouse relationship, set up HR clinics, and participate in Operations meetings.Support the Legal & Compliance Team with Policies, the LMS, and Health and Safety, where applicable, and represent the HR team.Support the HR Manager with new and ongoing projects.Work collaboratively with the existing HR Generalist to produce various HR statistics such as turnover rates, absenteeism, recruitment, salary benchmarking and trends.Support the development and administration of SharePoint.Work with the HR team to manage the HR inbox.Sickness AbsenceMonitor sickness absence across the group, reporting trends and monthly sickness absence analytics to the HR Manager.Support line managers in conducting absence review meetings from Stage 2 onward, ensuring we have the correct documentation on file.RecruitmentHelp drive the Recruitment Strategy and attract and retain top talent.Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, and facilitating smooth onboarding with support from the HR Assistant.Monitor and maintain the agency PSL with the HR Manager, assessing the performance of each agency.Support the onboarding and offboarding process by conducting inductions and exit interviews.Training and DevelopmentCoordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.In the absence of the HR Assistant, issue Study Agreement letters.Support the HR Assistant to review appraisal training requests once the appraisal process is complete and identify individual training needs.Essential Skills and ExperienceExcellent organisational and administrative skills.Ability to prioritise own work ensuring that deadlines are met.Proven work experience as a HR Generalist.Good employment law knowledge.Excellent energy, confidence and drive to deliver.Collaborative and pragmatic approach to work.Ability to initiate and manage change.Flexible and adaptable.Personable with strong communication and relationship-building capabilities across all levels of the business.Ability to support and drive Company policies and culture.Practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly.Hands-on experience with HR systems.Experience working with Microsoft SharePoint and other Microsoft packages.CIPD Level 5 qualified.Desirable ExperienceMinimum 5 Years HR Generalist experience.BenefitsOption to purchase up to 5 extra days annual leave.Health Cashback Plan.Pension Scheme.Life Assurance.Free Parking.Site Location: Scolmore House, Tamworth, B79 7UL
