About the Role We are hiring a Network Intelligence and Operations Centre (NIOC) Manager for our M7 motorway O&M contract. As a key member of the Contract Leadership Team (CLT), you will oversee the compliant and efficient delivery of asset management functions on the M7, and the programming and monitoring of all works by the delivery team. You will also be accountable for the management of the 24/7 motorway control room and customer communications. About the role Key responsibilities will include: Managing, developing and retaining a diverse and high-performing NIOC team to ensure efficient operations including asset management, planning and scheduling, and 24/7 motorway operations. Working closely with colleagues and client representatives from the North Western Roads Group (NWRG) to develop the annual works program, prioritising the core services and additional services work to best provide for asset outcomes, and compliance with the M7 Deeds and code of Maintenance. Overseeing scheduling of works in accordance with client-approved programs, completing all pre-works enabling activities and undertaking real-time monitoring, jeopardy management and status reporting. Responsible for the delivery of all asset inspections via the asset team, and management of defects. Management of our customer communications functions including notification of planned works and incidents to inform road users, and other relevant stakeholders. Responsible for coordinating responses to customer enquires and complaints including ministerial correspondence with NWRG. Developing, implementing, and continually improving processes and procedures to drive service performance outcomes. About you You will be an experienced and inclusive leader, making optimal decisions for the contract and implementing change by guiding and engaging individuals throughout the process. Our ideal candidate will have: 5 years of experience in leadership roles focused on planning and program management for long-term maintenance and/or capital/project works programs with annual budgets >$15 million. Industry experience including civil engineering, road construction and maintenance, resources or heavy manufacturing would be preferred. Sound knowledge of civil construction and/or road network management practices including access, permit and licencing requirements for road maintenance operations. Skilled in project and program management, being highly organised, deadline-focused, and agile. Passion for service excellence, underpinned by strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, ideally developed in an environment subject to daily government and public scrutiny. Current Australian driver’s licence is essential. Formal qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management or equivalent are desirable, but not essential if you can demonstrate equivalent capacity and experience.
