Aspec Masonry Pty Ltd We are offering a permanent full-time position for an experienced Bricklayer with demonstrated skills in bricklaying. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying bricks in mortar and other masonry materials to construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures in accordance with construction plans, and will be joining our expanding team in various projects all across New South Wales. The position will suit a candidate who is experienced in working in an environment that requires a high attention to detail and who is skilled in communicating with stakeholders. The key duties include: Studying and reviewing plans and specifications to determine the required materials, dimensions and installation procedures. Assembling and dismantling restricted height scaffolding. Applying damp-resistant materials to seal foundations and spreading mortar layers as a base and binder for blocks using trowels. Arranging bricks in rows, patterns, and various shapes, ensuring proper mortar application between joints. Embedding blocks in mortar and removing excess material for a clean finish. Designing, cutting and shaping monumental masonry and lettering. Building walls using stone slabs and large masonry slab blocks. Ensuring precise vertical and horizontal alignment of structures. Cutting and shaping bricks using machines and hand tools to fit irregular and unique spaces. Fixing and maintaining bricks, cement blocks, walls, partitions, arches and related structures. Do you have experience in working with different types of masonry materials? Are you physically fit and able to perform manual labour? Do you have excellent teamwork and communication skills? Licenses/Certification needed Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card) Required attributes Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools Motivated Reliable Attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Punctual Energetic Qualification & Experience 3 years of experience with a strong background in the building trades industry. Expertise in handling and working with different masonry materials. Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and craftmanship.
