Base salary will be in the range $137,542 - $158,351 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level C)

About This Opportunity An exciting opportunity for a Senior Lecturer in Dentistry to focus efforts on leveraging your established record of achievement in teaching (including clinical teaching, where appropriate), research, and service and engagement. At this level, you may coordinate or lead the activities of other staff and will be expected to have an active and effective record of supervising Higher Degree by Research students successfully to completion as Principal Supervisor.
Key responsibilities will include:
Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, support ongoing improvement of programs, develop innovative curriculum design, assess students, provide academic counselling and advice, and adhere to university teaching rules.
Research: Maintain an active record of publications, participate as chief investigator in research funding applications, support transfer of knowledge, undertake independent or team research, coordinate strategic collaborative research projects, and utilise best practice research methodologies.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Act as Principal Supervisor to Higher Degree by Research students, lead in the responsible conduct of research, manage development of researcher capability, lead engagement opportunities for supervisees, provide performance feedback and training, manage employees, and resolve conflicts.
Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You Completion of a PhD in Dentistry.
An established profile in teaching and research in the discipline area.
National recognition in the area of expertise, with an internationally developing profile and an established record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
A strong record of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.
Evidence of a high level of quality teaching at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate level across a variety of settings, including small and large groups.
A strong track record of course coordination and participation in the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material in the discipline area.
A solid record of supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students to successful completion.
A growing record of meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with a strong contribution to external activities.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, education check, and AHPRA registration.
