The Role
The role of the Functional Family Therapist is to provide intensive clinical treatment services to children, young people, and their families with serious and/or complex mental health, behavioural, and/or emotional needs to maximise their developmental potential. You will deliver the evidence-based model for families of children aged 0-17 years within the family's home environment across the Riverina region. Comprehensive training in this evidence-based model will be provided to the successful candidate.
The successful applicants will work within a supportive and passionate team at Riverina Medical & Dental Aboriginal Corporation to deliver these services and to ensure the best culturally appropriate therapeutic outcomes for Aboriginal children, young people, and their families and to families who come from a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

About You (Selection Criteria)
This is not an Aboriginal identified role; however, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander applicants are encouraged to apply.
1. Have a demonstrated ability to deliver services in a culturally inclusive and respectful manner to Aboriginal families.
2. Hold a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in psychology, psychotherapy, social work, or other related mental health field. Applicants with a proven track record in the area of FFT, who possess a Diploma and think they can demonstrate they meet the criteria are also encouraged to apply.
3. Be willing to be trained and participate in all activities associated with the FFT-CW model.
4. Possess strong attention to detail and commitment to data collection.
5. Possess emotional intelligence, high-level interpersonal skills, time management skills, and flexibility with the ability to handle crises.
6. Have a track record of working collaboratively and competently to negotiate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Have a current driver's license, the ability to travel within regional areas, and be flexible in your hours of work to meet the needs of families as required.
