About the Program: REDHS Transition to Practice Program provides a seamless transition from nursing student to professional practice, offering exceptional educational support and supernumerary time.
Spanning 12 months, this program includes up to two clinical rotations, in Acute Services and Yalukang Aged Care.
Graduates will benefit from interactive study days, career guidance, and regular debriefs throughout the year.
With the support of a dedicated Clinical Educator, you'll be guided through your transition to practice with ongoing check-ins from nurse managers and educators.
REDHS also offers numerous professional development opportunities beyond the Transition to Practice Program year; our contract is ongoing.

We are an integrated rural health service, providing a broad range of acute, residential aged care, preventative and primary health programs to a population of approximately 8,600 people in the Campaspe and Bendigo Shires.
We enjoy a strong relationship with our community and we are focused on delivering services that meet their needs.
Following the flood in October 2022, we commenced an extensive rebuild of our facility which was completed in January 2025.
