We are looking for an Operations & Events Coordinator to join our team in Northern Territory division.
About the role This role ensures the efficient operations of the Engineers Australia NT office including day to day management of facilities and administration on site and service delivery to members and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the division events program to provide quality & meaningful event experiences for members, Office Bearers, volunteers, and all attendees.
In this role you will: Assist the Division General Manager and Deputy General Manager NT in building the impact, brand, and membership of Engineers Australia through the implementation of an activity plan and stakeholder engagement plan for your local state/territory.
Lead the division in event coordination and delivery including.
member events, recognition, technical presentation, networking, local school engagement, committee led events and all related media and communications in collaboration with the professional development team Support the Division General Manager and Deputy General Manager NT by providing operational support including administration, marketing and facilities management.
Provide operational support for office bearers and volunteers in delivering impactful activities for EA.
Operate as an ambassador for Engineers Australia and lead or participate in events and functions.
Keep informed about issues relating to engineering in your local area and more broadly.
Other duties as required.
Here's what we're looking for: You demonstrate initiative and accountability; you are efficient, able to organise and prioritise work, garner resources and deliver required outputs whilst tackling multiple tasks.
You have a good understanding of technology, able to learn new software and assist/teach others navigating various IT and AV technology.
You can build relationships with a wide variety of people, internally and externally and can deliver operational plans.
You have experience organising and delivering quality events.
You can work successfully across teams, without direct reporting line authority.
You are a committed team player with excellent interpersonal skills, organisational and time management skills.
You have a high level of written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to deliver a message with enthusiasm and energy.
You bring with you, or are excited to develop, a working knowledge of (non-technical) engineering matters.
Ideally you have a background in delivering high quality experiences and services and have experience in at least one of: member or customer service/engagement, policy, advocacy, media, STEM, industry engagement or corporate events.
