Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) is located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Gruyere was commissioned in 2019 and is one of Australia's largest and lowest cost gold mining operations boasting a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile in excess of 10 years.Role Details:Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team you will oversee all functions of the mine Geology and Resource Definition Team departments for Gruyere. You will be responsible for a group of appropriately skilled professionals and business partners to grow and optimise the business. Ensure appropriate systems are in place for ore controls, reconciliations and resource estimation;Support Reserve Growth and the Life of Mine Plan as well as being the competent person for the Reserve & Resource process;Guide, develop and coordinate the Geology team towards achieving the operation’s strategic goals and objectives to maximise return through effective planning, management and monitoring of activities;Manage and oversee the development of local gold deposit models and exploration methods by coordinating and guiding the preparation of exploration strategies and plans (inclusive of physicals, costs and potential outcomes) to ensure effective exploration spend while meeting strategic goals;Ensure strong contractor management in all areas of Safe Production to deliver performance targets;Demonstrate strong commercial and business improvement acumen by identifying opportunities to enhance sustainability through innovation, projects and cost strategies;Ensure all statutory requirements are met per the WA Mines Act & Regulations.About you:Hold a Bachelor of Science in Geology, an Honours Degree in Science Geology would be highly regarded.Significant and relevant leadership experience with exposure to open pit mining & exploration, Resource and Reserve estimation, change management, budgeting and the regulatory environment.Experience being a member of a Site Leadership Team.Ability to support and drive an inclusive culture that supports Gold Fields Values.Demonstrated experience in development, career progression and performance management of personnel.Applications can be submitted via: https://careers.goldfields.com/AustraliaGold Fields is committed to achieving an inclusive workforce.
