The successful candidate will have a strong Trades background and will support product development work ensuring the successful delivery of key projects. Initially, the focus will be on completing product development tasks and managing the prototype test facility, followed by the addition of supporting VS1 operations (VS1 is our 30 MW CSP reference plant). The Assembly Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain, to meet production objectives and uphold our company’s high standards. This role will be based at our office in Goodna and will report directly to the Head of Products.The role responsibilities include:Manage daily assembly operations to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets. This will require fabrication and assembly work during production campaigns.Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and components.Work closely with the quality team to ensure that all assembled products and incoming products meet or exceed specifications and industry standards.Identify and address quality issues promptly, implementing corrective actions as necessary.Ensure that assembly operations comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.Contribute to manufacturing development and supply chain support of Vast Technologies components and products to VS1 and other customers.Manage all operations of the prototype test facility including manufacturing, testing, validation, auditing, procurement, storage and cost control.To succeed in this role, we are requiring someone who has:Trades experience allowing personal expediting of assembly activities to high levels of safety and professionalism where required is preferred.Management of supply chain, procurement and stock control as part of an assembly management function as required.Basic Project Management experienceWarehouse controlSelf-motivated, proactive, and willing to take initiative.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Open to travel to remote project sites.If you are highly motivated, have solid Trades experience and are passionate about renewable energy innovation, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.
