That’s refreshing.The PMO Lead will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of a major service delivery transition program by overseeing day-to-day project management activities.Reporting to the Program Implementation Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining project schedules, tracking progress across all workstreams, and ensuring project objectives are met on time and within scope.The PMO Lead will engage with workstream leads, monitor project health, identify risks and issues, and provide timely updates to senior stakeholders. This role is key to maintaining project momentum, coordinating efforts across the program, and ensuring that the transition is executed effectively and efficiently.With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank and is part of the Distribution | Network Operations & Delivery team.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Project management and coordination: Collaborate across the project team and with external stakeholders to build the integrated project schedule and oversee day-to-day project management of the project to ensure all activities are progressing according to the plan. Maintain and update project schedules, coordinating with workstream leads to track deliverables, dependencies, and timelines.Monitoring and reporting: Track and report on overall project health, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality metrics. Develop and deliver progress status updates to the Program Implementation Manager and senior stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and areas needing attention.Risk and issue management: Proactively identify, document, and manage project risks and issues, working with workstream leads and the project team to develop mitigation strategies. Escalate critical risks as appropriate to maintain project momentum.Stakeholder engagement and communication: Act as the central point of contact for workstream leads, facilitating communication and collaboration across teams. Ensure key stakeholders are kept informed of project progress, changes, and decisions that may impact on delivering the project objectives.External stakeholder engagement: Collaborate and engage with strategic partners to ensure external activities align with the integrated schedule. Build strong relationships with critical external stakeholders to drive positive project outcomes.Governance and compliance: Ensure project governance frameworks are followed. Support the Program Implementation Manager in preparing for governance meetings, including steering committee sessions and project reviews.Change control: Manage change requests, ensuring that any deviations from the project plan are evaluated, approved, and communicated effectively. Maintain a change and decision log and assess the impact of changes on scope, schedule, and resources.Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the mobilisation delivery team and PMO function to improve project outcomes. Support the development of project management tools, templates, and best practices to drive continuous improvement across the program.You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Experience in project management or PMO roles, ideally within large-scale transformation or transition programs. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams is highly desirable.Proven expertise in project governance and reporting, including development of project status reports, dashboards, and senior stakeholder (Executive, Board) level reporting.Experience in electricity distribution operations and maintenance services highly desirable.Strong risk and issue management capabilities with a demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in complex implementation projects.Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including workstream leads, senior managers, and external partners.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of using data-driven insights to inform project decisions and maintain overall project health.Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello) with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and optimise their use for project delivery.Experience leading and supporting PMO functions, with the ability to foster a collaborative environment and drive high performance across the project team.Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management or related disciplines (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, agile) highly regarded.A real place to belong.We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives, and diversity in our team.
