Nurse Unit Manager
Status: Full Time - 80 hours per fortnight with a monthly Accrued Day off (ADO)
Classification: NM11
About the role:
Warrina provides care for individuals who are able to move more freely, but need extra assistance with everyday tasks like meals, laundry and cleaning. Residents live in unit style accommodation and are able to access round the clock support for any help they require. Warrina provides a range of services which includes accommodation related services, as well as tailored care support based on individual requirements.
The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) is expected to have a rapport with every individual residing within the unit and is accountable for the provision of high-quality care for them. This is achieved through effective leadership in the management of staff and other resources to create a culture where resident quality of life is optimised through evidence based and person-centered care.

Skills & Experience
Qualifications:
* Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse Division 1
* Tertiary qualifications in management or working towards same highly desired.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Minimum Five (5) Years’ Experience in Residential Aged Care as a RN/ANUM
* Proven experience at Associate Nurse Unit Manager or Nurse Unit Manager level
* Currency of clinical practice in relation to all aspects of clinical care including but not limited to, medication management, falls prevention, pressure injury prevention, wound care, nutrition and continence management, palliative and dementia care including BPSD
* Ability to operate effectively in an environment of change and continuous improvement
* Demonstrated ability to manage resources effectively
* Demonstrated leadership skills with high level effective communication skills
* Proven knowledge of information management systems
* Demonstrated understanding of contemporary health service and Aged Care related issues
* A passion to improve resident care through coaching and development programs
* Understanding of, and ability to manage operational and business focused objectives
