Add expected salary to your profile for insightsIn this role you will be responsible for:Lead the Performance Assurance operations and functions critical to the vision, purpose and strategic objectives of the Inspector-General.Regularly analysing performance data, preparing comprehensive reports for senior management, highlighting trends and insights to inform decision making.Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory and compliance standards within performance measurement and reporting practices.Set the strategic direction for the Performance Assurance Team, including leading initiatives to identify areas for improvement in performance, develop action plans, and monitor progress towards achieving desired outcomes for the Inspector General.Monitoring legislative obligations, intergovernmental agreements, key Basin Plan implementation programs as well as Basin Plan outcomes in accordance with the Inspector-General’s legislative functions.Analysis of data and information to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement, and recommend corrective actions as necessary, including the use of administrative tools and statutory powers.Engage with and report to the Inspector-General and Senior Executives on all aspects related to performance assurance, providing high-level advice to inform decision-making.Ensuring performance assurance activities are risk-based and deliver on the Inspector-General’s strategic goals and objectives.Lead and manage a multi-disciplined team, adapting plans and resources to changing demands, while setting clear performance standards and fostering team development.Actively managing key stakeholder relationships within and outside the agency, across a geographically dispersed area and with diverse interests.Mandatory qualificationsRelevant tertiary qualifications, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience including in areas related to water, environmental or natural resource management, public administration, law, compliance, audit or similar.
