We have built our reputation as 'market leaders' with over 45 years of experience, a customer base covering all major mining company operations Australia wide in addition to building strong export markets in approximately twenty overseas countries.Job DescriptionElastomers Australia are currently seeking expressions of interest for a skilled and hands-on Personal Trainer to join our dedicated Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) team based in Mackay, however this will be a national role.As a Personal Trainer, you will be responsible for providing advice and services to support the physical health of our employees across our mining and manufacturing operations. This includes injury prevention, rehabilitation, and promoting a culture of physical well-being within a high-risk musculoskeletal environment. You will collaborate closely with our OHS, Human Resources, and Operations teams to ensure a proactive approach to employee health, safety, and productivity.DutiesConduct assessments and put in place treatment programs for employees with work-related injuries or musculoskeletal issues and monitor.Develop and implement injury prevention programs tailored to the specific needs of our Company's mining and manufacturing workforce.Lead our teams in physical conditioning and daily exercises.Work closely with the health and safety team to identify trends, offer ergonomic assessments, participate in injury investigations and provide recommendations for reducing workplace injuries.Provide rehabilitation support for employees returning to work after injury, including tailored exercise programs and progress monitoring.Educate employees on injury prevention, strength and conditioning, posture, stretching, and safe work practices.Support our workers through their injury management program by providing treatment documentation and contributing to return-to-work planning.Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatments, and progress reports in compliance with our company, clients and legal requirements.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Sport Science or equivalent.Registration with the relevant industry professional board.5 years experience in a similar setting, with preference given to candidates with experience in occupational health, high-level sport teams or working in mining or manufacturing environments.Strong understanding of musculoskeletal injury prevention, workplace ergonomics, and rehabilitation techniques.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse workforce.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and safety-conscious environment.Ability to travel interstate to the Company's branches in Singleton - NSW, Melbourne, Perth and Emerald - QLD.Opportunity to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment with a focus on employee health and safety.Be part of a supportive and professional team with a commitment to improving workplace well-being.Access to ongoing professional development and career advancement opportunities.Great team environment.At Elastomers Australia, diversity and inclusion are part of our DNA.
